The US actor Chadwick Boseman, best known for playing Black Panther in the hit Marvel superhero franchise, died on August 28, 2020 of colon cancer at the age of 43. Boseman achieved international fame for playing superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from 2016 to 2019.
Chadwick Boseman portrayed T’Challa as Black Panther within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He was diagnosed with the disease in 2016 and continued to act like a true fighter. Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought many films from Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more—all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. He was last seen in Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods, which released on Netflix in June 2020.
